At 16-inches, this is the medium sized version of the three Paiste PST X Series Thin crashes, and as such, brings explosive character and a super-fast response. Incredible control meets broad versatility, especially since the bow has been punctured with holes to frame the sound with bright and open warmth. This cymbal can be comfortably played by hand or with sticks, making it a great addition to a percussive set-up, and the perfect accent for more globe-trotting playing style or lighter styles including hop-hop, soul, funk, and fusion.
PST X Swiss Series
Cymbals from the Paiste PST X series are made of a B8 alloy, with the exception of the Pure Bells. The holes that puncture the bow of each of these cymbals aren't just for show, but the position and size of each hole is carefully calculated by Paiste's Sound Development team to shape a truly unique sound. While each of the cymbals has its own character, in general, the PST X range has an airy and warm sound that also pack an explosive response. In contrast, the Pure Bells are made of aluminium and have a softer character.

Idem dito als Marcel. M.a.w. klinkt super, maar zeer snel scheurtjes in de gaten. Ik heb ook een 10 inch gehad met hetzelfde probleem. Ik ben al decennia lang een Paiste-fanaat, maar dat heeft ondertussen een stevige knauw gekregen ...
Super vet geluid en zeer goede prijs. Goede verzending en ook bij vragen erg klantvriendelijk en goede service. In 2 woorden; helemaal top!
Het bekken klinkt geweldig met zoals al beschreven in de informatie een lekker korte maar krachtige klank. Helaas zit er al een barst in het bekken na er 2 weken op spelen, en ik speel er niet eens hard op want dat is met deze bekken niet nodig.

Is nu de vierde uit de PSTX reeks die ik heb. Vind deze reeks super en matchen perfect bij m’n 2002, 602, Master en Twenty cymbalen. Deze crash klinkt lekker droog en trashy en past perfect bij m’n 2002 crash 16” of 2002 Medium 16” en de 602 Thin Crash 18”.
Dus een echte aanrader evenals de stack, de splash en de mini hats.
Even opmerken dat je ze wel op de correcte manier, een schuinere swing beweging, dient aan te slaan en niet pal er haaks op.
Ook voldoende schuin plaatsen zodat je stick ze bijna volledig vlak er bovenop raakt. Dan krijg je volgens mij geen scheurtjes in de gaten.
Heel leuk klinkende reeks aan een zeer goede prijs!!!!!
